Anything with big daddy chewing up people with his drill is going to be good in my book. I just hope they DON'T try to follow the storyline exactly, because if I wanted to see the story as it was in the game, I would just play the game again.

Yeah im realy excited. They have a great story to work with and with todays modern visuals some of the games greatest moments can be re made in all there glory.

This is my favorite X-Box 360 game (including GTA 4) and it deserves a good movie treatment. Gore Verbinski did a good job on Pirates of the Caribbean, I have faith in this.

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit and it's filled with people who are filled with shit and the vermin of the world inhabit it and it goes by the name of Raccoon City.

Bioshock would make a great movie epending on how the director handles things. It probably wouldn't work out too well if they tried to copy the original storyline exactly...

Guys, why cant movie script writers go the the actual game developers and see if they can get the storyline guys from the game to come up with a precursor.. tell me a story of what happened before the game, that way i'm nostalgic in the end but still keen to find out what why in the world i'm playing the game.

That my friend is the best way that a VideoGame could be transfered to the big screen! But who know why the dont do it that way... My best guess is that a movie has a lot of profits that get in the way so many middle men get involved and in the end we get to watch a film wich is a result of power strugles between interests and who knows who... money rules all unfortunatelly.

loved the game, but with past history of game > movie adaptions I'm not holding my breath that it will be any good, fingers crossed it turns out half decent

If this movie is indeed confirmed, then I hope they don't screw it up. The Bioshock storyline has tons of potential for a great movie.
