The right hand power light indicator on my son's Nintendo DS Lite console has snapped off and taken some of the lower screen upper facia with it. It all still works but as it's out of warrantee Nintendo want to charge £53 to fix it (more than half the cost of a new one!!). I understand that this is quite a common problem and possible a design fault that Nintendo has not acknowledged. Anyway I have found a website that sells just the upper facia of the lower part plus new power indicator knob for only £16 and mentions that it's easier to replace than the whole shell. Only thing is they don't tell you how. Would you be able to give me some idea (i.e. step by step details??. Please help he's only 8 and is devastated! Thanks hopefully?
