I'm glad I'm yet to buy a PSP - But a nice way to screw over the people who just bought a PSP 2000

Features are a pop up analog stick, a microphone and most of all it has a better LCD.

But I'm not sure how much they reduced the ghosting - if that's a lot better then I...probably still won't buy it anyway since the only game I'm really interested in on the PSP is GTA...and I'd much rather buy 4 or so Wii games than 1 console to play 1 game. - but it's certainly be a nice improvement.

Yeah doesn't seem worth a whole new purchase.

I plan to pick up a PSP at some point, probably the original Phat, to play through Star Ocean I and II remakes.

Not worth upgrading for just a few little improvements, my slim is just fine, but i may get one in the future.

Other than a brighter screen and a much better looking design, what did the DS Lite have over the phat? Not much, but the lite is heavenly.

Yeah the lite is cooler.

haha yeah for games I prefer DS...but I've always wanted a PSP for its big screen so I can watch movies on it

But the battery life always put me off...among other things.
But now the ipod touch has a similar sized screen! :o But I think that looks ugly...and its memory is still tiny...I'll wait it out...

No way!! - the hinge makes it like the most delicate console made by Nintendo to date - like my GBA I've dropped it over 9000 times, and I've had a guy snatch it off me and stamp on it (hate him ) but it still worked - but my DS phat, I drop it only about 100 times...and the hinge breaks

And sony manage to mess it up!!
The screen ended up being a downgrade rather than an upgrade, and the only other changes were a slightly better shape, d-pad and a pretty useless microphone - and those certainly don't outweigh a sucky screen.

It looked promising but the PSP 2000 > PSP 3000....
