Painting DS Lite

Hello,
I am thinking of painting a new DS lite, how would I go about painting the outer surface. As I am not sure if the paint would stick to the shinny plastic surface.

Also if I wanted to paint it a dark colour am I better off with buying a black ds, so that I can leave some parts black or a white ds, which would act like a primer?

Thanks A Million

Well, either, it doesn't matter..

Neither colour would be a good primer, since you'd need to prime the case to make the paint adhere nicely.

Give the case a thorough sanding with about 200 grit sandpaper, then with 600 grit, and then use primer spray paint. It's cheap stuff, after which you can sand and spray.. There's a stickied topic about spray painting on this board, take a look at that. Also, let us know your progress.
