This weekend I'm going to move some shit around in the cellar so I can do the spraying down there.. I would have done it down their to begin with, but there are some clothes and dresses down there that would get ruined by the paint fumes, but I'll move them and cover them from something. That way I can get this done, because I can't see the weather getting any better now we're on the road to Xmas.

Today I set up the spray area in the cellar.

I taped a bin liner to the floor and put a piece of cardboard on it for painting. Quite dusty down there, so I'll do a bit of wiping first, then tomorrow when I get back from the gym, I'm going to reprime the edges and sand the holes / check the buttons fit.

Then I'll prime the holes, recheck, and do another black gloss. Hopefully one of the last black this project will need, because I really want to get it finished some time soon.

Awesome. I'm still looking forwards to seeing it with my own eyes. Having a unique DS and all. Do you still want me to try and advertise a bit? Or have circumstances changed what with your job?

Lack of time mostly.

Summer is good because the weather is good for painting, I'd still like to continue with my mods, but time has become more of an issue. With my job and going to the gym everyday, I'm out of the house for 12 hours a day leaving me with little time and only weekends to get stuff done.

Today for instance, I got my hair cut and I had a wedding reception to attend leaving me with no time to make progress.
Tomorrow, my brother will be visiting me, so I won't be able to make progress then either.

Then I'm back to my 12 hour days until next saturday (which is my girlfriends birthday, and the cycle lives on). Finding the time for one project is just near impossible, I need to free up some time to finish it off. And I really want to finish it.

Good news,

I was made redundant from my job today (company closed down suddenly), so I have a lot of free time... So I can get more time to work on your DS.

So you don't have a job anymore???????

Nope.

I'm being paid for the next month, but after that, I'm screwed. I need to find another job pretty quick. The good thing is I can do ASAP work and ask for more money for the convenience. The only problem is my convenience, all the jobs I've found are about half an hour away by car in unknown places.

Surprisingly a lot of places are looking for ASAP employment, so in that regard, I'm pretty good. Normally I'd have to give or be given a months notice, but since my boss is closing down, my months notice includes pay and time off for me to job hunt.

That still means that you will be left without a job if you cant manage to find one. Well it sucks when that happens but at least you now have more experience than you used to since before you started working there. Good luck man and find a job as soon as you can cause it can really suck when you are unemployed.

It's a bad time of year really for looking for employment.

I can stretch my savings to about March, but the sooner the better really.

I guess that depends whether you want to work at a department store and make the minimum until you find a job but if you dont then I guess you're right that it is hard to find the type of job that you do during this time of year since most companies prepare for the Holiday season.

There's a job I'm going to apply for, but I need to build a portfolio page. It's about £30k a year, which is an improvement on what I was previously on. The only difference is that it's twice as far away.

For the sake of this WIP, lets get back on track.

I've stuck a load of storage boxes in the room so I can give the room a clear out and clean before I begin painting (so much dust, it litterally falls the moment you walk in there).

Hopefully I'll do that over the weekend, and get painting.

Just set up my indoor spray booth... Plenty more room, and now dust free (well, it will be once the dust has settled).
