Probably the king of rhythm action games, until GH4 comes out that is.

I won't count Rock Band because the drums are kinda rubbish and the guitar is flimsy.

So, Guitar Hero, any high scores, tips advice, anything you're proud of?

I can't do The Metal on Expert Mode... D:

I just got it yesterday. I'm a new rocker. I'll comment on the game in general when I'm actually playing it and good.

I traded GH3 in for Smash Bros.

My best achievement on it was possibly completing Knights Of Cydonia on Hard.

Well I love the games. Can do everything upto freebid on expert on number two and everything upto the final tier on expert on number three. I find them very enjoyable but the way guitarists skit them I find hilarious.

@harribo: Knights Of Cydonia is pretty much the same on Expert Mode, try it.

@mcfaddenben: BAD. GO BUY. AMAZON. £40.

@Windmill: I am a gamer, therefore unfit and lazy, fo GH = King.

@OhDearMoshe: You're better than me then... Although once I get past The Metal I should be able to catch up with you. ;D

Just because you are too lazy for DDR, doesn't mean that it is not the king of rhythm games. It is what really made rhythm games, it is THE game that is the most awesome to be at (significantly harder than GH, thats for sure) it is just... THE king, by far. Nothing touches DDR. DDR is so flexible.

Good news everyone!

I did The Metal on Expert Mode! Now I just have to worry about Before I Forget and 3's and 7's.

I just got the DS version today and wow it's addictive - I play an actual guitar too and was a bit sceptic - like why would you want to spend hours on a game when you could learn the real thing - but I can understand why people get so addicted.

I think I'd prefer a better line up of songs on the DS version though...

I say because Guitar Hero is a lot easier to get good at than a real guitar.

And with real bands you need to first get a band together, then practice your songs a fair bit before going to gigs, but with guitar hero you can just turn on the game and experience the gig feel in 5 seconds.
