So I know everybody must have played at some point...so what do you play /have played?

I play electric guitar (along with 99% of the population ) and classical guitar...very similar indeed.
It's really hard to say which I like more...I play both about equal amounts

I have at some point tried other instruments as well - I did clarinet for 2 years...but all pieces for clarinet seemed so boring...and I couldn't be bothered to learn to play anything other than first position...so I quit .
And violin for a year...but that hurt my ears...I didn't like the squeeky sounds it made...so quit (though I'm sure if someone good was playing, it wouldn't be so squeeky )
And I played piano for a year - that was really fun...but my teacher moved away...and I never got round to getting a new teacher...so that sort of stopped..

I wish I could sing ...that would be awesome...but my voice is sooooo bad D: ...it used to be okay...I was in the choir when I was about 10...then my voice broke...and I could never sing since.

I want to learn to play the saxophone. My Dad has actually said he'll buy me one if I actually get some lessons. I think I'll play the alto sax; apparently it's the easiest for beginners.

I was told that saxophone is identical to clarinet...only you hold it vertically - so I guess I could easily pick it up if I wanted to...but I dunno...to me it doesn't seem like a fun instrument to play.
