Weird Mario Kart Wii glitch

A few days ago I was playing Mario Kart Wii online, and it got really weird.

After the countdown, I boosted and I won the race.
Now, that might sound normal if I had actually completed 3 laps before I won the race but I didn't.

I only crossed the starting line, and I won. Plus I got all the points for winning the races.

This happened 5 times, and I got bored as shit with it so I went to offline play.

Anyone heard any reports of similar thing happening?

Wow... That's intresting...

I've haven't played online play that much, and I haven't had any glitches like that, but yeah... That's something else.

I tried, no success. I guess it was a one off. Still, 200 points for doing pretty much nothing isn't that bad.

haha nice - I wonder what it looked like to everyone else playing you - you finishing races in like a second

Did you then have to wait around for all the other players to do a full 3 laps?

It was probably something with the server.
