I hated the original Trauman Centre, not because it was a bad game, God no, it was great.
But it was, for me at least, almost impossible, it was just hard.

First there was House of the Dead, a zombie rail shooter that spawned some successful sequels and ports. Then they revolutionized the genre by teaching you how to type while killing zombies while teaching you how to type with Typing of the Dead. Now hold on hats, Sega is now teaching Japanese DS owners to speak English with their newest touch-tastic game English of the Dead. Now you can kill and decapitate zombies in a while new way, on the run while having an educational experience. I can confidently say that this game will probably not make its way to the United States or Europe unless they change the languages up. Check out the trailer for the game after the jump.

A new trailer for Guitar Hero: On Tour, the DS version of Guitar Hero, has just been release. It shows the what the new peripheral will look like and how it will work. Instead of the usual five fret buttons like on the standard guitar controller, this new one for the DS will only have four fret buttons and it will stick directly into the GBA slot. Also it will include a small "pick" that you will use to strum with on the device's touch screen. From the looks of the new trailer this system will work really well, but tho only problem that I am gonna have with the series is that it will be too limiting. I feel like the difficulty level is going to be turned way down because it is on a portable system and also because of the lack of the orange fret button. On the console games, you only use three fret buttons on easy, and four fret buttons on medium, so they might or might not limit the game to those difficulties and just relabel them 'Easy' and "Hard'. Anyway, check out the trailer after the break. This game still looks like it will be the best DS game around no matter how easy it might seem to be.

Many Pokemon spin-off games may not reach critical reception as high as those of the main series, but one such spin-off that I always though stood out was Pokemon Ranger for the DS. The game too the series in an interesting direction and made brilliant use of the DS stylus feature.
Now a sequel is being made, also for the the Nintendo DS, and will feature pokemon from the Diamond and Pearl games. Again you will start out as a rookie ranger who just graduated from the Ranger school in the land of Arumia. You will be able to choose, like always, between a male or female character. Read on to see the newest trailer for the game.

If you were a fan of the Amiga, chances are you played a game called Qwak, published by Team17. Well this gem is now being resurrected on the Gameboy Advance by the games developer Jamie Woodhouse. Sadly, the game isn't licensed so you wont be able to pick it up in stores, but Jamie will be selling 300 copies of the game, so if you want this piece of gaming history, show your interest now at http://www.qwak.co.uk, and play the Qwak demo. |
