Gamefront reports about reports about Sony's newest invention for their PSP. In Japan they showed their new Everybody's Map (original title: Minna no Chizu). It's not working via GPS, it's just the map of the city which you can turn around and find intersting spots on like resturants and well known tourist places or simply search for an address. Sony is planning to offer new maps at their website, which you'll have to pay for of course. You can see a screenshot and the packshot here. |

Sony?s 2006 CES Site found here, has been updated and nowlists two new Sony Pro Duo Memory Sticks debuting in spring 06. It seems quite odd though that the these will probably feed into the warez scene with extra storage for those downloaded DVDs and PSP game ISOs source - ces2006 |

Great news for sceners! Using the "Hello World" hack for GTA Liberty City, they've managed to bring out the first homebrew ROM for PSPs 2.01! It's only Tetris right now, but that's better than nothing, and proof that this works! For the same reason as before, we can't host these files, but you can find them at http://www.psphacks.net/content/view/431/ |

Fanjita, has just released the Hello World demo for GTA version 0.1! This is a glitch found in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, which enables us to run unsigned code through the gamesave. Just like the very first Hello world for PSP which ignited the homebrew scene, this demo has shown us a future of homebrew for 2.XX users. The current demo is very basic, but we can hope to expect some great breakthroughs very soon. |

Teaching Japanese kids english? Not a problem! If you go by the recent sales of DS games that land closer to the category of 'applications' than 'games', then it would seem that Japanese gamers are currently keen on these so-called non-games. Then looking at the PSP side of things, one would notice that in Japan high UMD movie sales are similarly pointing out that people enjoy things besides traditional gaming on their portables. Realizing this, Sony is further promoting the trend of non-games as by teaming up with NHK Educational in order to bring English lessons to your PSP. |
