Pink and Black DS Lite coming to the US |

Nintendo has announced that it will release two new colors of DS Lite -- Coral Pink and Onyx (black) -- on Sept. 13 in the U.S. That makes it about three months too late for me; I picked up my Polar White DS Lite shortly after they first became available. Once again, the Curse of the Early Adopter bites me in the ass.
But for the rest of you girl gamers who want pink, or too-cool-for-school gamers who want black (or boy gamers who want pink -- I'm not sexist!), you have less than a month to wait.
It's a step in the right direction for Nintendo; the DS Phat had been out much longer before you could get it in any color other than dull-as-dishwater gray. (I had to go all the way to Tokyo to get a pink one. OK, I was going to Tokyo anyway, but still.)
Anyway! If you want a sexy black or cute pink DS Lite, you're all set. If you want a blue one, Japan's still your best bet. And for any other color, your choices are to wait or to get out your Sharpies and start scribbling.
