Looks like some of the NDS games will be put in the GBA-style cardboard box instead of the standard NDS plastic box because of plastic shortages.
The new cardboard cases will be the same size as the plastic cases and will have all the same stuff in it. Just not as durable as the plastic ones would be. If you really hate those cardboard cases you can always call Nintendo customer service and specially order a plastic case and get it around December.
The games that will be in the cardboard boxes are Super Mario 64 DS, Nintendogs Chihuahua, Nintendogs Dachshund, Nintendogs Dalmation, Nintendogs Labrador, Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing Wild World, Tetris DS, and New Super Mario Bros.
No word if the change for the games is permanent, but hopefully Nintendo will get their hands on some more plastic.
