Kick your friends asses in multiplayer and soon online in HD with the Mad Catz Wii component cables.
For a minute there it seemed that everywhere and every store were out of stock on Component cables for the Wii. Unless you decided to look into eBay and buy one for almost $100 bucks but I?m sure that some of you actually paid that amount just to enjoy the Wii in 480p. Just like Gamecube component cables if you were able to get one before they ran out woop di doo. But for the rest of us we had to wait. Mad Catz introduced their line of Wii component cable and were so overwhelmed with customers looking to buy them that they had to be put on back order. Their website stated that they will be shipping them on Dec. 13. Not wanting to risk it I pre-ordered mine before they ran out of stock and sure enough in Dec. 14 I received my component cables. I was surprised with the next day shipping for only $7 bucks but I was happy when I received them Via FedEx. I ordered an LCD TV but won?t be receiving that until Dec. 20, which means that I will be enjoying 480i in meant mean time. The price of the Mad Catz component cables is only $10 dollars less than the Nintendo Brand but when you include shipping and Handling that comes out to almost $40 dollars. Not to mention you have to wait a week just to receive your order. The total for my component cables came up to $28 with next day shipping. Still amazed. The build of the cables seems to be up there with what Nintendo has to offer in quality. The end tips are gold plated and look just like the official Nintendo brand but for much less than the other ones. At this time I am only able to see resolutions of only 480i but the component cables are capable of displaying a picture of 480p which is the maximum that the Wii can put out. The games look way better than the standard A/V cables.
Installation is as easy as plugging in a few cables, because thats all there is to it. Just turn your TV look in the back for the red, blue, green inputs plug it in and you're done. The cable is 9 feet long which is good if you have your TV and your Wii seperated for some reason. But if you don't then just hide the cable behind the TV I'm sure no one will notice it.
When playing on a standard TV that only supports 480i there is really not much difference. The games do look a lot better in clarity, graphics and visuals but not enough for your jaw to hit the ground. So if you have a standard TV that supports component its ok but sooner or later you will need to upgrade to a brand New TV. Sorry I just can't keep the TV out of my mind, it will be in my possession in only 5 more days. My precious bwahahahahahaha. ahem moving on. Closing Comments:
The Mad Catz Wii component cables are really top notch and for the price I?m sure that it will attract all of us bargain hunters looking to save some because they spend a lot of money buying a brand new LCD TV, as well as those people looking to bring HD to the Wii. 480p is still classified as HD so don?t be complaining or saying that the Wii does not support HD. Even if it?s the lowest of all 3. So if you have an LCD TV or a Plasma TV and have a Wii Buy this if not any Wii component cables. Beat your game and kick you friends Asses in multiplayer and soon online in HD.
