Sony are releasing a Pink PSP in the US on October 27th

The "Pink PSP Value Pack" includes the player, white headphones with remote, a 32MB Memory Stick Duo, and various other trimmings. "The PSP brand commands a cool-factor and edginess that makes this partnership a perfect fit," said John Fleckenstein, SVP of international at Zomba Label Group, part of the Sony BMG family. Fleckenstein pointed to a broad audience for Pink, noting that "she hits the skaters, the gamers, and the rockers alike."
From my point of view i see this as a attempt to combat Nintendo's big share in the Market and since Nintendo have announced the Pink DS lite this PSP pink seems like Sony are how shall i say-Piggybacking off Nintendo's ideas?
