Rainbow Six Vegas the latest in the Rainbow Six franchise. Rainbow Six Vegas brings you back in the roll of the squad leader of an elite counter terrorist group Rainbow Six.
In the past, Rainbow Six games have been more multiplayer based, leaving the storyline somewhat missing something; well don’t fear, the new story mode is very well done and very enjoyable to play. The levels have multiple routes so they can be enjoyed over and over again. Also with the feature of Xbox live you can go co-op in story line mode with up to three other players. Or if you’re not in the mood for the story line there is a new terrorist hunt mode where you play thought levels with just a number of terrorist.

Using the power of the Unreal engine and the Xbox 360, Vegas is a truly stunning game to play or watch being played, whether it’s from flying over Las Vegas to your drop point or going though a Casino. The sound effects are great, and mimic realistic sounds i.e. glass breaking, gunfire sounding authentic, and even how the enemy can hear barrels falling over, giving the game a more realistic touch.
As for game play, some people may think that it may be poor because of last game in the series ‘lockdown’, but we’re glad to say they have gone back to basics and the game play is truly smooth and easy to get to use. Because it’s very intuitive to play, it makes it enjoyable to play, whether it is breaking into a room full of terrorist with your team by your side or rappelling down the side of a building to smash though the window to surprise your enemy.

The AI as been greatly improved; your enemy NPC’s can try to flank you, call for support, hide and let each other know when there reloading, and communicate to each other to try get the best of you. Also the weapons are now more customisable giving you a choice of different scopes or a laser sight, as well as the side arms which give you choice between laser sight and a bigger clip. New equipment has been added to the game, including motion sensor, a GPS device, as well giving the player choice in what they are using.
Multiplayer is also a lot of fun, and I’m glad to say that just because they got the single player right, doesn’t mean they have missed out on the multiplayer. You’re able to do everything that you can in single player. Also there a lot more game types to choose from, such as survival, sharpshooter and team survival, along with some new modes such as Attack & defend; retrieval and team sharpshooter, along with co-op story and terrorist hunt via Xbox live, making online play a very enjoyable experience.
This new addition to the Rainbow Six series lets you use the vision camera for the Xbox 360 to take a picture of yourself and map it onto your character, so you’re really playing as yourself, making it seem like you’re really in the game.

In conclusion it’s a very good tactical shooter, and any fan of the franchise will love it to bits, but even if you are a 1st time player of these game, you’ll mostly enjoy the game just as much. Rainbow Six Vegas has got great lifespan and people will get there money worth from this game.
