?Tom Clancy?s - Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2? (GRAW2)?continues from where ?Tom Clancy?s - Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter? (GRAW) left off...
...trying to stop the Mexico rebel attack, but this time you have to finish it, but The Ghosts only have 72 hours to stop the rebel attack.
?Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter? was one of the Xbox 360?s biggest titles last year. So standards are high for this one, and I?m glad to say they have done a grand job on the sequel.
Graphics are better than the original, with smoke and explosions looking extra nice, along with the characters being more detailed, and the lighting improved.?
The AI of your enemy and team have been greatly improved. From having team mates knowing what's around them, it?s now not uncommon for team mates to call out ?behind the red car on the left? or wherever the enemy maybe. Really makes you feel that your part of the action and that your team is alive. Along with hearing your enemy telling each other that there out of ammo, or need help etc.
Players now have a team medic that they can get to heal you or your team mates though rough spots in combat; another nice touch which in the original you never had and to be honest could have really done with sometimes.
The story line follows on from the from original, but in GRAW 2 you have to finish what you have started. The rebel?s have the ability to fire Nuke?s anywhere on US soil and you have to stop them. The single player is more or less the same as the original game. More of moving your squads through rebel infested areas. But this time you have to fight through destroyed cities and rubble.??
Along with the new support your get such as calling in air strikes to take a enemy tank or two, or a chopper named ?little bird? to help gun down the hard-to-get-at enemies.? Not forgetting the classic tank and APC?s making a welcome return.?
Also with new abilities to go full screen on what your team mates are seeing via the link-com. You can move character faster then in the 1st game, which makes getting across GRAW2 huge maps slightly easier.
The can-gun has made a come back, to help out on?those pesky solo recon missions and along with a new support unit a mule (mobile ammo box that you can move around with you) the single player campaign is a lot of fun?albeit a?bit short.??
The best part of the game is the multiplayer aspect. There is a co-op campaign to be done via xbox live, which is great fun. Up to 16 friends can play through a mission together and help each other along the way.
The Multiplayer as been improved in GRAW2 as well with 18 maps that cover every type of terrain?such as: City?s, Jungles, Beaches, old ruins and many more.?
Along with all the different game types such as: Domination, blind siege, siege, hamburgerhill, and the classics like sharpshooter, team survival and many more there plenty to be done online in the new GRAW2.??
They have also added some of the things from single player that you couldn?t do online before such as: Running and diving into a prone position or crouch position, or the use of a rifle with grenade launcher as well as a pistol something you could never do before online in the first game. There is also a new respawn system in place to help stop spawn camper?s ( a big problem in the original ), when you die in a multiplayer game you have a 3 second immune timer to stop people killing you straight away. Along with the maps being design so you can?t get into a enemy team spawn area without being seen or in the open. Really makes online game a bit more enjoyable because you not have to put up with being popped in the head every time you spawn.?
Over all they have done a great job on this squeal with lots to be played and done, alone with Xbox Live and the new graphics it?s a really enjoyable gaming experience, and definitely beats the original. Truly a class shooter. a very good buy in a title plenty there to keep anyone happy. Storyline 6/10 Game Play 9/10 Graphics 9/10 Sound 9/10 Multiplayer 10/10 Life Span 9/10 ? Reviewed by McfaddenBen |
