Leading publisher and distributor of computer and console software in the UK, Alternative Software, today announced the release of its latest officially licensed product: The Amazing Spider-Man Creative Studio for PC DVD ROM.
This revolutionary piece of software should keep wannabe web-slinging Spidey fans, with a creative bent, busy by not only allowing them to design their own party kits, calendars, T-Shirts, cards, posters and stationery, but also to create their own comics.
Following the success of Castleford-based Alternative Software's first officially licensed Marvel tie-in Creative Studio, which was based upon The X-Men and released last December, Spider-Man Creative Studio is the second in what Alternative Software hopes will be a trilogy of Creative Studios featuring Marvel characters.
Spider-Man Creative Studio encourages users of all ages, to unleash the power of their imagination by affording a powerful yet very user-friendly toolset. In fact the software is so versatile that personal photographs and images can also be easily segued into the web-slinger's world, allowing end users to see themselves in a custom made Spider-Man comic. Professionally designed layouts provide a canvas for creative design where spectacular images, brilliant backdrops, patterns, distinctive fonts and headlines, along with speech and sound effects bubbles, bring adventures to life.
"We are delighted to have worked with Marvel on this exciting project," said Roger Hulley, Managing Director of Alternative software. "We are tremendously proud of The Spider-Man Creative Studio - it is an awesome piece of software that should delight Spider-Man fans both young and old. It allows them to stretch their creativity to the max and let their imaginations run wild, and all with just a few clicks of a mouse."
Alternative is continually at the forefront of new product development and the acquisition of new character licenses with leading licensors such as Marvel, DreamWorks and Aardman Animations. The company continues to strive to stay once step ahead of the game by utilising cutting-edge technology to create quality, high-tech software. Marvel Heroes Creative Studio - the third in Alternative Software's deal with Marvel - will be released later this year. Alternative Software Ltd is a member of Game Republic - the alliance of high-tech companies in the Yorkshire and Humber regions.
Game Republic receives funding from Yorkshire Forward and is part financed by The European Union.

Looks like fun...
