IBM to introduce 65nm cell chips |

The chip's are best known in the Playstation 3.
Manufactured in IBM's factory in East Fishkill,?the advantages from the 65nm size (as some of you may wonder) is that it's smaller in size and uses less power, making it great for notebooks if they ever plan on it. It's capable of 1,000 trillions?calculations per second (1 petaflop).
No words on when they might be released but IBM has received a contract from the U.S. Department of Energy to build a supercomputer based on the cell processor code-named "roadrunner".
