Ensure to keep the party atmosphere lasting for hours and hours by grabbing your copy of Mario Party DS when it launches across Europe on 23 November 2007

Join all your favourite characters from the Mario universe, including Mario, Luigi and Peach, as you steer them through five interactive game boards and attempt to track down five missing meteor pieces. With eight characters to select from and multiple game modes to enjoy, this really is one party not to miss!

The Touch Screen, microphone and buttons are all utilised when playing this game. Minigames have players doing everything from navigating a maze with the +Control Pad to turning a crank using the Touch Screen and blowing into the microphone to extinguish candles. These wacky and innovative games combined with polished colourful 3D graphics make this game a must-have for Nintendo DS owners.

The game starts when Bowser lures Mario and friends to his castle with the offer of a free feast. Instead of a nice meal our heroes find themselves walking into a trap where Bowser shrinks them to miniature proportions and steals one of five meteor pieces that fell from the sky. The gang then find themselves transported to a remote location where they must recover all the missing meteor pieces in order to turn themselves back to normal. This mission takes them across five different game boards and will see them battle it out against five different bosses.

In the main Story Mode players traverse five themed boards based on colourful and vibrant locations from the Mario universe. Players use on-screen dice to move their character around the board. After each round they then take part in a group minigame to earn coins and other awards. After the final round of each board the best player gets to play against a boss from the Mario universe such as Kamek or Petey Piranha. By defeating these bosses players can recover a meteor piece and complete the board.

Players also have the opportunity to challenge themselves with three additional modes. Party Mode is a multiplayer challenge allowing up to four players to team up or compete in the game’s minigames as well as the whole board game. What’s more, using the DS Download Play function players can enjoy two to four player Mario Party action, using just one copy of the game, making sure you can get all your friends and family into the Mario party action.

Minigame Mode allows players to challenge any of the minigames from Story Mode as well as racing against the clock and re-challenging the game’s bosses. Finally Puzzle Mode offers the player a selection of block or triangle based puzzles to put their skills to the test. With 5 classic puzzles and 1 new puzzle, players are sure to spend hours on end perfecting their skills. "
