What The F*** Friday Print
Written by Donny

Today is Friday....well in the US at least but never the less Welcome to an edition of what I call What The F*** Friday where I talk about some of the strangest things that have happened in the past weeks in gaming, politics, and other areas.rrr-2-ss1.jpg

Xbox Live:

Microsoft today has apologized for their crappy Xbox live service. The service went down and many people where having problems logging in, playing against friends and account recovering. There's your money at work paying $50 bucks for a service with downtime. Microsoft feels bad for what happened and so they are offering a game download for free. This is what the rep had to say:

"We are disappointed in our performance. I would like to take this moment to thank you all for your patience and understanding as our team has worked around the clock to return the service to a stable state," Whitten wrote.

"As a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox Live members around the world access to a full Xbox Live Arcade game free of charge."

Xbox 360:

The rumour of the Xbox 360 Ultimate is just that a rumour. However Microsoft has no comment on the subject someone close to microsoft has said that: “Ultimate” is simply not on the cards. Coult the rumour be true since Microsoft is not commenting and they are waiting for CES or is it truly just a rumour only time will tell at CES 2008 this comming week.

Wi-Fi Virus attack:

If worring about your computer isnt enough now you have to worry about your wireless game consoles as well. A new trojan virus can attach itself to a Wi-Fi router anywhere and beam a virus onto any machine Wi-Fi enabled device. The only protection for this is to have a password set up on your device and not leave it open to any one except those living in your house. The WEP is Hackable where as the WAP in less hackage, so you should be using the WAP

Wii:

Amazon has started taking pre-orders on Mario Kart for the Wii. Even though a handfull of screenshots have been released and almost no information on the game has been released, Amazon has the game set for a release date of April 30, 2008.

Nintendo DS:

A DS Version of StarCraft is being developed not by Blizzard but by a DS fanboy. The game still needs alot of work but version 0.1 has been released for people to try it out.
"A limited demo (version 0.1) is available for you to test out in an emulator or flashcart of your choice, and, while it's clear there's still a lot of work ahead for the project, it's impressive how much the two-man crew has already accomplished in just three weeks of development. So far, players can select and direct units via touchscreen, build simple structures, and produce additional units. There are even a few enemy troops to attack.
"

Hopefully Blizard or Activision wont shut the down and will let them continue with the project. If you all remember, fans of the Halo series where working on a similar game to that of Halo Wars until Microsoft shut them down.

Nintendo DS:

For those tree hugging people out there who want to save the planet and play Videogames at the same time there is a new device that will let you recharge your DS on the Go without the need of extra batteries that could harm the planet. It is a Wind up charger the you have to wind up in order to get a charge and recharge youd DS. It will take a while for your DS to get a decent charge and by that time your hands would have probably fallen off but nothing says I care about the planet then a Wind-up battery charger.
