Microsoft Offers Free Software to students Print
Written by Donny

If you are a student and meet the credentials. You too can get a copy of your favorite Microsoft Software.

Microsoft has gone on and probably done the craziest of all things. They have offered Students who meet the qualifications on their website free professional software that can help them achieve their goals.

"We want to do everything we can to equip a new generation of technology leaders with the knowledge and tools they need to harness the magic of software to improve lives, solve problems, and catalyze economic growth," Microsoft chairman Bill Gates said in a statement.

DreamSpark includes Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition, Expression Studio, XNA Game Studio 2.0 with a free yearlong subscription to the XNA Creators Club, SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition and Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition. When Windows Server 2008 is released to MSDN, it will be available to students as well.

The promotion will be available in 10 different countries and is available as of Today. This follows the same suit adobe has done by offering students free software since November, While Microsoft may be coping Adobe, it’s still a good promotion. Let’s see Apple try and do that.
