Teachers want a Ban on Bully Print
Written by Donny

A coalition of groups representing four million teachers in several countries, including Canada, want to ban the game bully saying that it encourages kids to become bullies themselves.

Rockstar isn't new to the whole controversy thing what’s with their Grand Theft Auto franchise always under target. The faced the same situation with the original release of Bully on the PS2 and now history repeats itself with a coalition group that represents 4 Mil teachers wanting to put a ban on the game bully.

"We're asking retailers to be responsible," Emily Noble, president of the Canadian Teachers' Federation, said Monday. "Yes, they can sell it and make a buck out of this, but is this the kind of marketing that they want to be [doing], selling games that glorify violence?"

Apparently these people don't understand, if a child is a bastard he will always be a bastard there's no changing that. Also last time I checked companies go into business to make money not to lose money. I'm sure there are economic teachers in that bunch they should know that by now. If they don't what kind of teachers are these.

Bully is a great game receiving great reviews and anyone who played the original Bully will probably want to play this version of the game as well. Bully has even gone and won several awards for various categories.

Worst case scenario if they do win, will this help our schools be more safe and friendly? Will children learn to help, respect and be friendlier to other people? Hell No. There are a lot of factors why someone hates someone not just because they play a game. If a parent is a racist towards a certain group chances are his children will be too. If a kid bothers another kid in school will that kid just turn away and keep getting punked? No the kid will fight back. These are the cases that happen every day in schools around the globe and are not caused by playing video games. That’s what these people don't understand.

In one related event a 13 year old girl hanged herself for being bullied on the internet. She obviously died and this of course is brought up by many protestors wanting to ban the game. 2 retail chains in UK have already agreed not to carry the game. I don't mean to offend anyone but if caring so much what people think about you is more important than life, you might need therapy or a good asswhooping from your parent.
