Is Hulu all that great? Print
Written by Donny

NBC and Fox finally launch their free service TV site, but is it a great site or just another site with free TV shows.

The answer to that is yes it is because it is free. But just like other free show sites where you can view your favorite shows it does have its downfalls or perks if you want to put it that way. The problem with most free view sites is that there's too much ads going on in the background but you can watch your favorite shows. Hulu has limited commercial interruption or limited ads if you want to put it that way which don't interrupt you and you can watch all the shows that are available on their servers.

Hulu however is always constantly lagging no matter how long you leave your browser on that show. Even if it finishes buffering there is still enough lag to send the viewer someplace else where there is no lag.

I was watching several episodes of Family Guy and it did this with every episode. I can't spend time watching each and every single show that is available on Hulu's servers because there are literally thousands of episodes available now with more coming in the future. But the episodes that I did watch, lagged and it basicallu ruined it for me as a viewer.

With most sites the only lag there is, is at the beginning but once the video buffers there is no lag at all which means that NBC and Fox have a long way to go before Hulu becomes mine as well as millions of viewers #1 stop for TV shows.

Zulu is a great site in a sense that they probably have your favorite shows but that isn't always the case. Sometimes there will only be clips available with no full length episodes available. Futurama is a show that I was looking for and all I saw there was clips of episodes. I tried searching for full length episodes but it doesn't have an option to categorize it by time. It only has what network it is being broadcasted on and depending on which you pick will throw you some episodes which you can't tell whether they are full length episodes or not. Some are and some aren't.

Hulu is a great site and while I may confuse it with Zulu from time to time it is definitely worth you checking it out. It has all your favorite episodes... well I wouldn't say all of the episodes but a few episodes of your favorite show. At this point Hulu has a lot of bugs that need to fixed and until that happens I don't think I'll make Hulu my #1 site to visit to watch episodes of Family Guy or Futurama. Yes those are the only 2 show's that I like out of all of what Fox and NBC have to offer.

Anyway check out Hulu and you be the judge of whether or not it is a great site, if you haven’t already checked it out.
