Some saw this coming, others are shocked.
Remeber that company who brought Multimedia devices to everyone but wasn't selling. They brought out a Handheld system that was being outsold by the DS and for a long time the DS was the #1 selling system of all time outselling both Handhelds and Consoles.
Then the Wii came along and it was still outselling that company by 4 to 1 on average. But the DS still held the #1 spot on the charts of Japan. Basically anyone who rules Japan Rules the console market.
Now That Multimedia Device outsold the Wii 1806 devices for the Week of Mar. 10 to the 16th.
Is this a sign of things to come. Has Nintendo finally reached it's peek that people are going another direction for entertainment. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii sales started to decline, after all $250 is way too expensive to pay for a machine that uses old technology. You can fork over another $150 and get a machine with everything on it. Or you can take a risk and get a machine that will probably die within a few months of use for the same price.
Looks like Nintendo might start to go downhill from now on.
Thats right that companies name is Sony... now I remember and yes the PSP outsold the Wii.
Nintendo Wii does have 4 titles in the top 10 spot though. But thats all it is Nintendo titles. Smash Bros, Wii Fit, Wii Play and Wii Sports. Where are the Third party titles?
