and also new Downloadable Content.
Lair was a beautiful, ambitious, disaster of a game. Lair was suppose to show off how will the SIXAXIS motion control worked. Instead it did the opposite and made the game virtually unplayable.
Despite the huge failure it was Factor 5, the studio that developed Lair promised to support the game with DLC. This Thursday Lair was scheduled to get two expansion packs. One expansion, The Diabolical Dragons Pack, will add two new dragons. The Poison Dragon, which is big and strong, and the Wind Dragon, small and nimble. No price was given.
But what happened to the second pack? The second pack essentially fixes Lair. It finally adds analog control and maps some of the attacks to the face buttons. It also adds force feedback and a targeting reticule. Support for Remote Play has been added and the online leader boards will be fixed as well. And it will all be free. Players will be prompted to download it when they start up the game.
Factor 5 should of made analog control available from the beginning. I aprreciate what they were trying to prove but when it comes down to it you should always give the consumer a choice.
