God Hints At A Few New Games... Print
Written by Dave Aubrey

I'm sorry, did I say God? I meant Shigeru Miyamoto...Laughing

Speaking in a recent interview, Miyamoto had this to say:

' Miyamoto emphasised the point that Wii Fit is not a game to keep players fit, saying that to him, "the spirit of Wii Fit is weighing yourself and tracking it." He also revealed that a hidden game was included in Wii Fit, due to its difficulty. This game is based off of sumo wrestlers, who are required to balance on two scales perfectly in order to be weighed.

Wii Fit, like Mario Kart Wii, will also get its own channel in the Wii Menu. Miyamoto commented that Nintendo have been considering the possibilities on connecting the DS to the Wii, which may result in extra content for Wii Fit. In a separate question session, Miyamoto was asked whether he considered Wii Fit an actual game, responding "Well, yes, in my mind, I would say it is a video game."

Balance Board possibilities were also discussed, with Miyamoto mentioning an idea for a music game using the peripheral. He also said he'd consider including Balance Board support in future Mario games if enough people bought the peripheral, however it wouldn't be made a requirement to play. Another tidbit revealed was that he's been toying with older games and the Balance Board, "finding fun things we can do".

Miyamoto was also asked about Pikmin 3, with his only response being that Nintendo is considering "what to do next with a franchise like Pikmin."'

What to do next indeed...
How about Pikmin 3? Nah, too repetitive...
Super Pikmin Bros. Brawl? A game where they introduce about 50 new species of Pikmin and have them fight to a very bloody death?

I'd buy it.
