Nintendo Ordered to pay for Infringement. Print
Written by Donny

The total amount is nothing compared to how much Nintendo is making this generation.

Nintendo was ordered to pay $21 Million to the company Anascape Ltd. for patent infringement for their technology used in the Gamecube and Wii controllers.

A federal jury said that the company infringed on Anascape's patent in designs for the Wii Classic Controller, Wavebird Controller, and GameCube controller.

No patent infrigement was found in Nintendo's motion sensitive Wii Remote or Nunchuk Controllers.

You would think that many companies suing Nintendo for patent infringement would actually succeed when the Wii remote is involved. But $21 Million is really nothing for Nintendo seeing as how they took in $2.5 billion in profits last month. $21 million is nothing but pocket change from the big behemuth.
