And it's about time too, we're fed up of this bloke constantly complaining.
'Florida Lawyer and anti-Rockstar crusader Jack Thompson looks to have landed himself
in some serious legal hot water, after a judge recommended he be found
guilty of 27 counts of professional misconduct.
Thompson had been facing 31 charges of misconduct, many of which
revolving around his obsession with violent videogames – particularly
those peddled by publisher Rockstar.
Now it’s emerged that Judge Dava Tunis has recommended that the Florida Supreme Court find him guilty on 27 of those charges.
According to Destructiod.com, Tunis had the following to say:
“After considering the arguments presented by the Florida Bar and the
Respondent (Thompson), observing the Respondent's demeanour during the
nine-day trial proceedings, and carefully reviewing the record
consisting of four volumes of exhibits totalling 1700 pages and
approximately 2400 pages of transcribed testimony, the Court finds that
the facts, circumstances and evidence presented regarding the
Respondent's conduct, supports a finding of guilt as to certain Florida
Bar rules...”
Amongst the charges faced are dishonesty, fraud, deceit and
misrepresentation, with a disciplinary hearing is due to commence
during the first week of June.'
It would appear that Mr. Thompson has been a naughty boy.
Ah well, we all knew that video-games weren't that bad for us anyway.
