'Fable II is on the verge of completion, with Lionhead revealing that only has a few more bugs to iron out before the game goes gold.

“We have one or two bugs that are keeping us from going gold,” Lionhead Studio's Sam Van Tilburgh told Kotaku.

Despite this – and the fact the game isn’t due out for the best part of two months – Van Tilburgh said that the development teamwas still putting in the hours.

“Everyone is playing the game, staying 12 hours,” he added.

And it seems that Lionhead’s staff aren’t the only ones who have been playing the game, with Van Tilburgh adding that the game had proven popular with the crowds at the Penny Arcade Expo.

According to Van Tilburgh, 97 per cent of the reaction to the game has been good so far.

“one person told me the game was ‘tight’,” he said.

“I'm told that's a good thing.”

Fable 2 is out on 24 October. And by the looks of things, it looks like it could well be rather amazing when it does hit the shelves'
