Microsoft has revealed the goodies that will be included in the limited collector’s edition of Ensemble Studios' Halo Wars when the game arrives on Xbox 360 early next year.

Among the swag that will accompany the game is the first three maps of the Mythic Map Pack. This map bundle will include the Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox map for use in Halo 3 multiplayer.

Another item of interest to Halo fans is the inclusion of the graphic novel, Halo Wars: Genesis which recounts the events of the battle between humans and the Covenant. Genesis will be penned by Eric Nylund, the scribe behind the Halo novels “The Fall of Reach”, “First Strike” and “Ghosts of Onyx”.

Rounding out the collection is the inclusion of a unique in-game “Honour Guard” wraith, six “leader cards” and a “Spirit of Fire” patch.

Halo Wars is expected to drop into stores in February 2009.
