Save RayMan from bunnies gone Bad.
I have never played a Ray Man game in my life, ever since back in the days of the PS1 and some titles on the N64. Well back then I couldn?t afford any type of games I had to rely on my parents to buy me my games. As time went by more and more Ray Man titles were being released and as I grew up to the age of where I had a job and money to buy a game I still didn?t bother looking or checking out any Ray Man games. Now with the latest Ray Man adventure, I still didn?t want to buy it but I wanted it because the commercials got to me. I didn?t get it but my little bro gave it to me as a Christmas gift and boy have I been playing that game non-stop ever since, well at least until 3 days later after I passed the game.

When I first opened the Christmas gift that my little bro gave me and saw Ray Man I went into my room and started playing it. There isn?t too much of a story explanation in the beginning all they really show is Ray Man having some tea with frogs. Now I haven?t played any Ray Man games before but I?m guessing that?s normal on a Ray Man game right? The frogs get swallowed into 3 holes and rabbits or in this game Rabbids, come out with blank stares. Then Ray Man gets kidnapped by a huge Rabbid and take to a prison cell where he must perform for hundreds of thousands of rabbids.

You must collect 15 plungers in total in order to escape from the prison but before you get those plungers you must go through 4 mini-games and a final stage for each day. There are over 70 mini-games in total but before you start a mini game a rabbid will show you how to play that mini-game. After the third mini-game depending on where you start (I start from left to right) the gate to the final challenge of the day will open. However if you want to unlock a custom or a song in your jukebox you have to pass all 4 mini-games. The last mini-game is a dancing mini-game where you have to use the wii-mote and nun chuck attachment like a pair of drum sticks which is kind of fun. (Expect a Drum game for the Wii in the future). The songs in the dancing game include from: Black eyed peas, Girls wanna have fun and my favorite in this game La Bamba. There are more but I don?t remember. All these songs are played using the rabbids voices which is funny when you first hear them.

Many people say that Ray Man is one of the best looking games on the Wii but I haven?t seen anything amazing in this game that has to do with graphics. Some bunnies in the stadium are just 2D renders and show them moving left to right with no other types of movement. The game does look a little better when you set your settings on your Wii at 480P.

The game does a good job using all of the Wii-motes functions right. For the dancing game you must use it like a pair of drum sticks, for fly falling you must use it to turn left or right, for running you must move them up and down just like you would when you went running through the field and for the final day challenge if you get the shooting game with plungers which most of the time you will get but from time to time you will get a warthog race. I know that this game is available on PS2 and 360 but I couldn?t imagine playing this game on those systems. Wii just works better for me. I don?t know how the GBA version works but I?m guessing the same as the PS2 and 360 versions because it doesn?t really require that many buttons.

I love the music in the dancing game and some music in regular mini-games which is instrumental rock. Especially if you have a nice setup like since the game does support Dolby Pro Logic 2. It?s not digital but when you have a nice setup wow. The Sound effects are great as well as voice over. There?s not that much talking but rabbids screaming and laughing does technically count as voice over.

Closing Comments:
Even though I only passed it in 3 days it was still a short game. But man was it a great game. Besides graphics not being as good as the 360 it is still graphically amazing if runned at 480p. It uses the Wii-Mote in every way even the little speaker in some mini-games which is great. It also features Multiplayer up to 4 players which is even better. If you have a Wii you must get this game. I hope there is a sequel to this game because it left me wanting more.

Game Play: easy to grasp and really fun to play. 10/10
Graphics: Great when runned at 480p, OK when runned through A/V cables. 8/10 Controls: Uses all of the Wii-motes feature?s but some mini-game don?t work with them. 9/10 Sound: Great sound effects and Music and real artist songs sung by the rabbids. 10/10 Life Span: A couple of day?s worth of Fun but it will leave you wanting more forcing you to go back and play more. 8/10 Total Score: 90% = A Reviewed by: NightHawk
